Finance Department


Our Finance & Accounting Department carry the responsibility of ensuring that the council's payments are processed in a timely fashion and records are maintained accurately at all times. They also preside over the revenue generation of all the following departments within the council:

  • Revenue Department
  • Valuation Department
  • Traffic Department
  • Management Information System (MIS) Department
  • Local Economic Development (LED) Department
  • Finance Department
  • Market Department

The affairs of these departments are supervised by the Senior Finance Manager who is tasked with ensuring that efficiency is maintained in order to maximize the collection of revenue coming into the council on a regular basis.  

Our Senior Finance Manager is dedicated to identifying and pursuing new revenue streams and the overall financial management of the council, so that we can continue to fund projects, initiatives and campaigns that improve the standard of living for Belize City residents. 

Presently our Senior Finance Manager is Ms. Rosalie Perez who reports to the City Administrator Mrs. Stephanie Lindo-Garbutt.
