Belize Mayors' Association Appoints Female Councillors to Serve in CALGA

Fri, 26th March 2021

As we approach the conclusion of Women's Month we must continue to shine light on the admirable women in leadership who continue to act as influential forces in our society. This morning during a scheduled meeting of the Belize Mayors' Association, Councillors Doreth Pascascio of the Orange Walk Town Council and Natasha Pipersburgh of the Belize City Council were both appointed to serve in the Women's Division of the Caribbean Association of Local Government Authorities (CALGA).
These representatives will assist in addressing issues and concerns of women serving in local government, supporting and training Caribbean women for service in local government, while providing a regional platform to increase the voices of women in Caribbean local government.
We proudly congratulate Councillor Pipersburgh and Councillor Pascascio, and express our full confidence in them as they explore this new undertaking
