On Saturday, August 10th, 2019, a two-month series of barbecue sales by Councilor Micah Goodin culminated with the distribution of scholarship grants to 43 students from all over the city. As promised, the Belize City Council supported this initiative with a contribution of $10,000 to the Micah Goodin Scholarship Fund.

Mayor Bernard Wagner had the pleasure of giving the keynote address at today's ceremony and was presented with an appreciation award for his and the council's contributions. We are always proud to support initiatives such as these that invest in our youths and create opportunities for the residents of our city. This has been a significant undertaking by Councilor Goodin and it is great to see a sitting councilor's efforts result in such an impactful project.
