In an effort to continue taking steps towards creating a smart city, today the Belize City Council inaugurated a new traffic light system installed at the Neal Pen Road and Central American Boulevard intersection. This pedestrian light crossing system is the first of its kind in Belize City, but it surely won’t be the last. This installation is a vital step towards optimizing traffic safety and convenience for all our residents and we continue to strive to execute projects like these that have the sole purpose of being a benefit to our people.
Thank you to the Belize City Council and to Ambassador Remus Li-Kuo Chen of the Republic of China (Taiwan) and his team for their commitment and contribution towards this project.
We are eager to experience the impact of this venture and encourage all of you to do your part in helping to preserve these lights and adhere to the rules that are put in place for your safety.
