Phase one of the street rehabilitation program commenced today with the signing of contracts with various entities who were successful in their tender bids.
Mayor Bernard Wagner, City Administrator Stephanie Garbutt along with City Engineer Floyd Williams and councilor responsible for works, Albert Vaughan, executed contracts with principals of the following entities to carry out the paving/concreting of streets below:
M&R Construction Ltd - Racoon St. Ext (chip and seal paved)
CISCO Construction Ltd. - Victoria St. (concrete) Nurse Seay St. (chip and seal paved)
Fast Construction and Road Development Ltd - Tigris St. (chip and seal paved)
Teichroeb & Sons Ltd. - Cemetery Ln. (chip and seal paved)
The council looks forward to working with these companies to improve Belize City’s infrastructure and to continue remaining transparent in our efforts to uplift our municipality for the benefit our our people.
