As January 10th, 2022, signaled the resume of hybrid classes for students across the country, Belize City Council, through partnerships with the Kaohsiung City Government and, the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Belize had the opportunity to support the development of our children through education by way of the donation of fifteen (15) Acer laptops to students and schools across this great municipality.
Recipients along with His Worship Mayor Bernard Wagner, His Excellency Ambassador David Kuan-Chou Chien, Deputy Mayor and the members of the Belize City Council, gathered at the City Hall today to receive the devices which are intended to assist these students in accessing their inalienable right to an education as analyzed in Article 28 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC).
Gratitude is extended to the Kaohsiung City Government along with Mayor Chen Chi-Mai and the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for the provision of the devices which will definitively aid in the recipients being able to access education even throughout the strains COVID-19 continues to put on us all!
