His Worship, Mayor Bernard Wagner welcomed the management team of the Yabra Football Club (YFC) to City Hall to engage in fruitful dialogue relating to BCC’s ever-important role of supporting the transformation of this municipality’s communities through sports, partnerships and social actions.
The YFC Management group, inclusive of Mr. Jerome Meheia, Mr. Rudolph McKoy, Mr. Michael Gentle, and Mr. Godsend Ferguson utilized the opportunity to offer historic tokens of appreciation to Mayor Wagner and the Council courtesy of Windows of Belize.
Relics, inclusive of a 1945 ‘Address of Loyalty at Belize’ by N. S. Pollard were handed over in recognition of the council’s recent support of YFC’s fundraising venture to offset medical expenses for a fellow footballer of YFC.
Via this medium, Mayor Wagner, the Belize City Council and the Yabra Football Club encourage all to mobilize in the name of the transformation of our communities through sports, consultation, and positive community action!
