Mayor Bernard Wagner and our councilors kicked off Garifuna Settlement Day by participating in the re-enactment of the Garinagu arrival (Yuremei) followed by a parade through the streets to the church for the Solidarity and Garifuna Settlement Day Mass. As always, it was a pleasure to be a part of this cultural experience and we encourage all Belizeans to do their part to help preserve this unique and influential culture.
