Recently, the Belize City Council took part in a walkthrough of the developing pumping station alongside representatives from the Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). 

This important project is being funded under the Climate Vulnerability Reduction Program. During the walkthrough, MIDH and IDB representatives provided detailed explanations about the various components of the pumping station. 

This exercise is crucial since the Belize City Council will take over management of the site once construction is finished in July. This collaborative effort aims to enhance the city's resilience to climate change and reduce the vulnerability of Belize City's infrastructure to flooding and other climate-related risks.
