The Belize City Council recently teamed up with UNICEF Belizeย and NEMO for a great initiative aimed at enhancing disaster preparedness and response within our community.ย
The collaboration kicked off with a comprehensive training program focusing on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) under the theme, "Building Belize's Resilience to Extreme Events."ย
Facilitated by the Belize Red Cross, using their Participatory Hygiene and Sanitation Transformation curriculum, a total of 48 dedicated first responders from the Belize City Council were equipped with invaluable knowledge and skills to better serve our city in times of disaster.
This initiative underscores our commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community members, particularly during challenging times. Together, we're building a stronger, more resilient Belize City!ย
