Mayor Bernard Wagner, Councillor Evan Thompson, and Councillor Malcolm Nunez were honored to participate in today’s Handover Ceremony at Stella Maris School, hosted by the Belize City Sub Umbra Floreo Lions Club.As part of this meaningful initiative, the Belize City Council contributed to the donation of essential care packages, which were officially handed over to the school. These packages included tennis shoes, personal care items, uniforms and casual clothing, stationery, educational supplies, and other necessities based on a needs assessment conducted by the school.
These donations play a vital role in supporting the well-being of students and ensuring they have the resources they need to thrive both academically and personally.
This effort not only underscores the importance of community collaboration but also reaffirms our commitment to creating inclusive opportunities for all children—especially those with diverse abilities—to access and enjoy their right to quality education.
