📊 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔/𝟐𝟕 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

This session brought together Mayor Bernard Wagner, Deputy Mayor Eluide Miller, City Administrator Dr. Candice Pitts, Councillors, and representatives from Local Government, including CEO Mr. Valentino Shal, Director Mr. Clifford King, and Officer Ms. Aurelia Cal.

As part of the session, a review of five-year financial trends and current performance was presented, examining recurrent revenue, expenditure patterns, and budget-to-actual collections. The data reflected 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞, 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞, all of which help strengthen the Council’s overall operational position. 

Discussions also focused on council operations, achievements, challenges, and priorities guiding municipal development, followed by site visits to key ongoing and future initiatives, including our Student Hub🎓, eTransit Depot🚍, and the future Floating Boardwalk 🌊 along the Southern Foreshore.

Through continued collaboration with our Local Government partners, we remain focused on translating careful financial planning into tangible improvements for Belize City. 🤝➡️
