Youth Exchange | Sister City Miramar, Florida 

Through the Belize City Council’s Sister City partnership with Miramar, Florida, our Youth Shadow Councillors are gaining hands-on experience, global exposure, and leadership skills that go far beyond the classroom and they’ve been making the most of it! 👇🏽

✨ Here’s what they’ve been up to:

🏛️Getting an inside look at local governance through visits to Miramar’s City Clerk’s Office, Parks & Recreation, and the Police and Fire Departments

📚Learning about municipal operations and the history of the city

🎓Touring educational institutions, including Universal Technical Institute

🗣️Participating in a Youth Roundtable Discussion at the NSI Broward Center of Innovation

🌎Taking part in cultural exchange activities with local students

🤝Attending the Miramar Sister Cities Board Meeting and Welcome Reception

This exchange highlights the power of Sister City partnerships, creating meaningful opportunities for our young people to learn, lead, and represent Belize City internationally.
