Collaborative Planning for Tsunami Readiness

𝐂𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐓𝐬𝐮𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬

Representatives of the Belize City Council's City Emergency Management Organization (CEMO), Planning and GIS Units participated in a collaborative planning meeting with the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), the National Meteorological Service of Belize (NMS), and the International Tsunami Information Centre Caribbean Office (ITIC-CAR) as part of ongoing efforts to finalize the Belize National Tsunami Plan. 

The meeting focused on reviewing the draft National Tsunami Plan and the Belize City Evacuation Plan, reinforcing our shared commitment to preparedness, resilience, and the protection of lives and property in the event of natural disasters.

This collaborative effort reflects our continued commitment to strengthening disaster preparedness and ensuring the safety and resilience of Belize City and its residents.
