This week, the Belize City Council successfully hosted a three-day Rapid Planning Toolkit (RPT) Workshop focused on managing Belize Cityโ€™s rapid urban growth.

The opening session welcomed Mayor Bernard Wagner, the City Administrator, and Councillors, who joined national and local partners in setting the tone for focused, forward-looking discussions.

Over the three days, participants collaborated to assess urban growth trends, shape a City Growth Charter, identify priority expansion areas, and translate strategy into practical, action-oriented planning tools.

The Rapid Planning Toolkit strengthens Belize Cityโ€™s ability to guide sustainable development with clarity, coordination, and evidence-based decision-making.

We extend sincere thanks to our facilitators, participants, and international partners for their expertise and collaboration.
