It is an honor each year for the Belize City Council to participate, alongside our nation's leaders, in the Official Wreath Laying Ceremony for National Service Day. 

Deputy Mayor Allan Pollard Jr. and Councillors were in attendance at the ceremony commemorating the 13th anniversary of the passing of Rt. Hon. George Cadle Price, the Father of the Nation.

In his welcome address, the Deputy Mayor reflected on Mr. Price's lifelong dedication to Belize. He emphasized that he didn’t just dream of independence—he worked relentlessly to achieve it. Leading with humility and wisdom, Mr. Price held an unwavering belief in the potential of every Belizean. His vision extended beyond political freedom; it was about building a society where dignity, prosperity, and peace were within reach for all.

So, on this day and every day, let us continue to walk the path of service in honor of the Rt. Hon. George Price.
