Garifuna Settlement Day in Belize City!

Mayor Bernard Wagner, Councillors Stephanne Hamilton, Eluide Miller and Dorian Usher proudly joined the annual Yurumein, the re-enactment of the Garinagu's historic arrival to our shores. The celebration continued with a vibrant parade through the streets of Belize City, leading to the church for the Garifuna Settlement Day Mass.

Each year, this cultural celebration reminds us of the strength, resilience, and vibrant traditions of the Garifuna people, and it is always a privilege to be part of this meaningful event.
