Rockwall Park Upliftment: A Partnership for a Cleaner, Greener Belize City

Wed, 19th February 2025

As a Council committed to providing a clean and child-friendly environment, we encourage businesses, organizations, residents, and international partners to collaborate with us for the betterment of the city.

Councillor Sherwin Garcia, responsible for parks and beautification, along with Parks Manager Mr. Delroy Herrera, had the pleasure of observing the incredible work carried out at Rockwall Park in the Fort George Division by Jam Cruise in collaboration with Healthy Reefs for Healthy People and Leaving A Positive Legacy.

As part of the community support, students from St. Mary's and Holy Redeemer Primary Schools among all participants were excited to participate, contributing their time and energy to help improve their local park. Together, they completed several improvements, including painting the playset and picnic tables, constructing a mini stage for hosting community events, and filling areas to enhance safety.

In addition, the day was filled with vibrant live musical entertainment, creating an uplifting atmosphere and fostering a sense of unity among all those in attendance.

The Belize City Council sincerely appreciates the teams' efforts and eagerly anticipates continued collaboration to build a better, more vibrant community for all.

Kindly note that the Council offers a Park Adaptation Program. Residents or organizations interested in adopting a park are encouraged to contact us at 227-3073.
