Strengthening Climate Resilience through Technology

𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐠𝐡 𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲

Councillor Javier Castellanos recently accepted a laptop on behalf of the Belize City Council as part of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Readiness 10 Programme.

Under this initiative, each City and Town Council that participated in a series of trainings on Settlement Planning, Urban Data Information, and Management Systems received a laptop equipped with ArcGIS software to further enhance spatial data management and planning capacity.

This effort, led by the Protected Areas Conservation Trust (PACT), helps strengthen local capacity for sustainable development across Belize.
