Our Youth Shadow Councillors Tae Medina and Danielle Mohammed-Ali joined Mayor Bernard Wagner and Councilor Cattouse in Ontario Village today to attend the first annual Aviation Appreciation Day. This initiative is geared toward youth development for young residents interested in pursuing careers in or related to aviation. To that end, participants were enlighten in key areas such as obtaining a pilot's license, airplane mechanics and certified specializations in aviation.
Through this initiative, an aviation school is being established at La Familia Farms that will allow for our Belizean youths to work towards attaining their private flying license. Additionally, our youths will also have the opportunity through the aviation school to connect with international flight schools and agencies to further their studies and carriers in the field of aviation.
This initiative also had the participation of the Minister of State in the Ministry of National Defence, Hon. Oscar Mira as well as several Mayors from across Belize who also brought along two youths from their respective municipalities.
A special vote of thanks goes out to Madame Mayor Sharon Palacio and the Belmopan City Councillors for inviting our team to participate in such a noteworthy event which will surely yield long-term benefits for Belize.
