Today the Belize City Council welcomed a cohort of talented youths along with their parents to the City Hall in celebration of our 2021 Youth Patriotic Talent Competition. These gifted young youths received monetary prizes and certificates for ranking in the top three of our Junior and Senior categories. Additional participants were also invited to attend today's ceremony and received consolation prizes consisting of games, school supplies and more for their excellent submissions in this year's competition.
During the ceremony Mayor Bernard Wagner, Ambassador David Kuan-Chou Chien and our Councillor responsible for Youth and Sports, Kaya Cattouse all shared congratulatory remarks to all in attendance for their exceptional work. A warm thank you goes out to all participants for sharing your talents with us and to the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) for their role in making today's ceremony possible.
During these unprecedented times, the Belize City Council is proud to have offered our youth a platform to not only show their civic pride but to express their creativity in a safe and constructive way! Congratulations to this year's winners!
