Partnership to Posthumously Honor a Musical Icon and futher develop Caribbean Shores

Thu, 12th May 2022

Recently, Mayor Bernard Wagner and Councilors joined Hon. Kareem Musa,  the Leadership Intervention Unit of Department of Youth Services, musicians and family members of the late Gilbert Mr. Program Alamilla to dedicate a newly rehabilitated park in his honor , a man who made extensive contributions to the musical industry and the Caribbean Shores Community.
Today’s dedication is indeed the signal of a new beginning, and a reunification of central government and local government partnerships to transform the aesthetic and utility of spaces within communities across this municipality in service of our youth and families. It's envisioned that this symbolic and public space becomes a collective unifier for the residents of this community, a playground for  children and a meeting ground to promote positive, interactive, and impactful discourse and activities as we aspire to build Belize by first building our communities and supporting our people.
Gratitude is extended to the leadership of Hon. Kareem Musa, Mr. Said Perdomo, and members of the Caribbean Shores community who made today's dedication possible!
