The Belize City Council officially opened September 2024 with the Annual Flag Raising Ceremony, ushering in a month brimming with celebrations. The ceremony was a highlight of patriotic spirit, featuring inspiring speeches from 𝐌𝐚𝐲𝐨𝐫 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐖𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐞𝐫, 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐊𝐚y𝐚 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 and 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐄𝐥𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫.

We are deeply appreciative of the contributions from the Scout Association of Belize, the Girl Guides Association of Belize, the Belize City LIONS Club, 𝐅𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐫, and all the dedicated residents who helped make this year's event a success.
