Enhancing Infrastructure for a Smarter Belize City!

Thu, 30th January 2025

As part of the Belize City Council's commitment to building a smart city, one of our priorities is enhancing and modernizing the city's infrastructure. Recently, we had the honor of hosting a Taiwanese delegation, supported by the Ministry of E-Governance and the Ministry of Transport. The delegation visited key Belize City Council locations to gain insights into our traffic light system operations and explore opportunities for improved efficiency.
The tour was led by Councillor Edmund Kwan, who is responsible for Enforcement, alongside our Traffic and Enforcement Managers.
Tour highlights included:

πŸ“‹ Traffic Department
🚦 On-site Visits of Traffic Light Systems Locations
This collaboration represents a significant step toward building a smarter, safer, and more efficient Belize City. Together, we are progressing toward a city that not only serves the needs of our residents but also adapts to the demands of the future.
We’re excited about the possibilities this partnership brings as we continue enhancing infrastructure, improving safety and surveillance, and creating a better environment for all.
