Strengthening our City, One Step at a Time!

Thu, 30th January 2025

Today, we mark another major milestone in our city’s journey toward modernization and improved service delivery! The Belize City Council is proud to receive a second garbage compactor truck, generously donated by the Japanese Government through their Grassroots and Human Security Project.
This new compactor joins the first truck previously handed over by the Japanese Government, along with a new fleet of 5 electric pickup trucks, 7 diesel pickup trucks, and 3 Foton utility trucks recently procured by the council—all aimed at boosting our ability to meet the needs of our residents! With these additions to our existing heavy duty equipment fleet, our teams are better equipped than ever to serve our residents with greater speed, reliability, and effectiveness.
💡 But keeping our city clean is a shared responsibility!
These garbage compactors are only part of the solution. Every resident, every community, and every organization must play a role in proper waste disposal and keeping our streets litter-free.
THANK YOU to the Government of Japan and the Grassroots and Human Security Project for believing in our vision and strengthening the Belize City Council’s capacity to serve.
Let’s continue working together for the Belize City we know is possible!
