Upon invitation from the Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Belize and our Sister City Kaohsiung, Mayor Bernard Wagner and his Belize City delegation are proudly participating in the 2025 Smart City Summit & Expo—a premier global gathering where city leaders, technology pioneers, and urban planners collaborate to drive cutting-edge advancements in smart city solutions and sustainable development.

Today, Mayor Wagner took the stage in a high-impact panel discussion under the theme, "𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬 𝐁𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐅𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐒𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.” Representing Belize City alongside distinguished speakers from Poland, the United States, and Taiwan, he shared insights on how Belize City is embracing smart technology to enhance urban management, mobility, and service delivery through strong international partnerships.

This platform allows us to not only showcase our progress in leveraging technology for citywide improvements but also learn from other global leaders, gaining valuable knowledge to drive our own Smart City expansion.
