From Research to Action: Belize City Council Engages in Courageous Conversations at the 2025 UB & CBU Social Works Conference

As a signifier of our strategic commitment to strengthening the social infrastructure available to youth, children, families, and vulnerable populations, 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 and 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗺 𝗡𝘂𝗻𝗲𝘇 proudly joined social workers, students, and professionals at the 2025 Social Work Conference, coordinated by the University of Belize  in partnership with the  California Baptist University under the compelling theme “𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵.”

This vital intervention, complementing ongoing efforts and collaborative partnerships with central government and the broader social sector, is expected to further enhance the Council’s community-oriented initiatives. Each action reflects our shared vision of a municipality rooted in civic pride and rich with opportunity for all.
