Mon, 27th July 2020

This morning, Mayor Bernard Wagner, together with the Honorable Francis Fonseca, PUP Area Representative for the Freetown Constituency and Councilor Albert Vaughan, Chairman of the
PUP Freetown Executive Committee, visited two primary schools in the Constituency, namely St. Joseph’s Primary School and All Saints Primary School. The purpose of the visits was to
hand over donations and to see, firsthand, the precautionary measures that both schools have put in place ahead of the officially reopening of school on August 10, 2020.

At St. Joseph Primary School, Mayor Wagner and Honorable Francis Fonseca donated a total of thirty-three hand sanitizer dispensers. Principal Rose McGregor led the delegation on a tour
of the school’s classrooms and a first of its kind isolation room.

At All Saints Primary School, Mayor Bernard Wagner presented Principal Colin Estrada with a donation check of $1000 which will aid the school with its ongoing preparations. Principal Estrada gave a tour of the amenities that have been installed so far which include two wash basins, one each for the male and female students.

Mayor Wagner commended both principals and their teachers for all the hard work that they are carrying out in order to ensure that their students’ learning environment is as healthy and safe as
possible upon their return to school.
