Councillors of Lake Independence attended CDRT Meeting

Fri, 09th July 2021

The Community Disaster Response Team (CDRT), an extension of our CEMO Department, targeted the Lake Independence area in a meeting held yesterday by engaging our very own City Councillors with an educational briefing on our goals and objectives for addressing flood-prone areas and drainage in that community.
Today's meeting welcomed Councillors Deannie Requena, Michael Novelo, and Edmund Kwan who are active in the constituency as well as Councillor Natasha Pipersburgh who is responsible for CEMO and Disaster and Risk Mitigation.
The conversation was centered around building a disaster-resilient city and engaging all partners to ensure our front-line responders are always prepared and equipped to act in times of emergency.
