Green Thumbs Loading!
In achieving our vision to integrate gardening, and introduce green, productive spaces within communities across our great city, the Belize City Council, through partnerships with the Belize Red Cross and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security, and Enterprise, recently broke ground on the Belize City Urban Garden Pilot Project in Southside Belize City with the installation of a greenhouse tunnel structure. Under the leadership of Councillor Natasha Pipersburgh, the intent of this project is to foster greener living, and agriculture into the framework of each of the city's 10 constituencies through training, community engagement, and support provided by the council and its partners.
