Belize City's Robust Infrastructure Improvement in collaboration with MIDH and Area Representatives/Standard Bearers

Thu, 20th April 2023

The Belize City Council remains committed to collaborating with MIDH, our local area representatives/standard bearers and to our robust infrastructure improvement plan. Today Mayor Bernard Wagner, Hon. Kareem Musa along with City Administrator Stephanie Lindo-Garbutt and City Engineer Floyd Williams embarked on an extensive walk-through to visit recently completed and ongoing infrastructure project sites made possible through meaningful collaboration with representatives such as DPM Hon. Cordel Hyde, Deputy Mayor Allan Pollard Jr., Hon. Kareem Musa and Hon. Julius Espat along with MIDH.
During the tour, our team visited multiple city streets and residents in Queen Square, Lake Independence, Caribbean Shores and Mesopotamia, all of whom will enjoy a better quality of life as a result of these efforts.
It is always a pleasure for our team to oversee these projects from the ground level and to have a chance to receive live input from our residents who are directly impacted by the state of infrastructure in our communities.
The tour route consisted of Church Street, Prince Street, Berkley Street, Glyn Street, Bishop Street, Rocky Road, Teacher Street and the Gungulung Area where the Holy Emmanuel Street Rehabilitation and Canal Dredging/Lining Project is taking place.
