Celebrating Ombuds Day 2024

Marking a significant occasion dedicated to promoting the values of justice and fairness within our community, Mayor Bernard Wagner and the Belize City Council were delighted to partner with the Office of the Ombudsman to celebrate Ombuds Day 2024.

Mayor Wagner delivered the welcome remarks at this morning’s official ceremony where he underscored the importance of accountability and transparency in governance, highlighting how these principles are essential for a healthy democracy.

An awesome highlight of the event was the interactive booths where community members learned more about their rights and the various services available to them.
