As we continue strengthening our relationship with the vendors of the Michael Finnegan Market, the Belize City Council hosted an important stakeholder meeting led by Councillor Evan Thompson, with responsibility for Markets, alongside Mayor Bernard Wagner, Deputy Mayor Eluide Miller, and City Administrator Dr. Candice Pitts.

The session brought together key Council departments and market vendors for open and productive discussions.

With the participation of the Valuation, Revenue, Court, Enforcement, and Finance Departments, the focus was placed on market regulations, key processes and flexible payment plan options available to assist vendors in catching up on arrears.

Just as importantly, the Council took time to listen directly to vendorsโ€™ ideas, concerns, and recommendations to improve the market environment for everyone. As Belize Cityโ€™s central commercial hub, the market grows stronger when collaboration leads the way!
