Belize City Council Rehabilitated and Paved Mopan Street

Fri, 28th May 2021

In keeping with our mandate to ensure sustainable infrastructural development in our city, Mopan Street has been rehabilitated and paved. The rejuvenation of the trio of streets, which would have been achieved  by way of concreting the streets, and the lining of the canal on McKay Boulevard was initially captured, and was to be funded by OPEC Fund as a part of the Southside Poverty Alleviation Project under the past administration. This project never materialized and, as a result, CITCO had to locate funding for Mopan Street rehabilitation, given that it was in a deplorable state of condition and was adversely impacting the quality of life for residents.
Your Belize City Council continues to work relentlessly for the progression of our communities.
