In keeping with the mandates of her portfolio, Councillor Natasha Pipersburgh recently met with members of the Belize Assembly for Persons with Diverse Abilities (BAPDA) to discuss methods of inclusion for our residents living with various disabilities. The meeting featured discussions about the effect COVID-19 has had on said residents, and additional topics regarding new methods of mobility, especially for those confined to wheelchairs. The meeting attendees also discussed new initiatives that will be taken to spread awareness about the various disabilities affecting our residents on a daily basis.
We thank BAPDA for including us in this most sensitive and important conversation, and we pledge our full support in achieving our shared objectives for the benefit of our citizens.
