It brings us great pleasure to say that this year's Rising Star Summer Blast has come to a successful conclusion. The Belize City Council would like to thank The Hub Resource and Community Center, the Ministry of Human Development, the Community Rehabilitation Department and the Belize Family Life Association for their partnership, allowing us to deliver a safe, constructive and engaging program to our city youths. We would especially like to thank the parents who allowed us to interact with the bright and talented children who successfully completed this summer initiative. As we wrapped up with a closing ceremony wherein Deputy Mayor Allan Pollard shared his remarks, we were pleased to see the happy faces of our participants who received certificates honoring their growth over the summer. We continue to embrace opportunities to keep our young citizens engaged, especially during this time when their interactions are limited. We thank our Programs Department for their role in the success of this project and look forward to more child-friendly initiatives to come
