Today our nation celebrates National Flag Day, and the Belize City Council commemorated the start of the September Celebrations with our 2021 virtual edition of the annual Flag Raising Ceremony. Mayor Bernard Wagner and Councillors Deannie Requena and Stephanne Hamilton each shared messages of hope, continuity and perseverance as Belize acknowledge its 40th anniversary of independence.
We would especially like to thank the Scout Association of Belize and Pastor Ruth Pipersburgh for assisting in making this year's ceremony another success.
