The Belize City Council Supports the Protection of our Country's Wildlife and Natural Resources

Tue, 14th September 2021

Today our Councillor responsible for Parks, Michael Novelo liaised with CEO Kennedy Carrillo, Mr. Jamal Galves of the Belize Manatee Conservation Programย  and other members of the Ministry of the Blue Economy at Sea Shore Park to install the first of seven signs geared toward manatee protection. These signs will be installed at all other coastal parks in the city as part of a vital initiative to educate the public on the necessary procedures for reporting manatee sightings and potential threats.
The Belize City Council is in full support of the protection of our country's wildlife and natural resources, and we urge all our residents to maintain a watchful eye when visiting sites along our city's coast.
