CHEERS TO 64 YEARS!
As an indication of our commitment to promoting an inclusive and welcoming environment for persons with diverse abilities, yesterday, May 5th, 2022, Councillor Natasha Pipersburgh had the opportunity to represent the Belize City Council as an honorary guest for Stella Maris' 64th Anniversary Celebrations in Belize City.
Councillor Pipersburgh who holds the portfolio for Disabilities joined the Governor-General Her Excellency, Dame Froyla Tzalam, Minister of Education, Culture, Science & Technology, Hon. Francis Fonseca, Special Envoy Mrs. Rossana Briceno, Disability Desk Coordinator Mr. Marshall Nunez, and other invited guests who all gathered to offer continuous support and accolades for the vital work that the Stella Maris Institute provides to persons and families with disabilities.
Councillor Pipersburgh utilized today's opportunity to present a social contribution on behalf of the Mayor and the Belize City Council to support the work of the institution.
Following today's anniversary ceremony, Councillors Natasha Pipersburgh, Javier Castellanos, and Kaya Cattouse joined Her Excellency Dame Froyla Tzalam, Minister Francis Fonseca, and Special Envoy Briceno in planting Oleander and Mahogany trees at the institution.
Today's activities ended with the Councillors Pipersburgh, Cattouse, and Castellanos distributing sweet treats to the students and families of the Stella Maris Institute.
Gratitude is extended to the Stella Maris Institute for extending the invitation to Mayor Wagner and the Belize City Council as we strive to remain socially responsible, inclusive, and innovative.
