It was an eventful day in Belmopan as the Mayors' Association representing Belize's nine municipalities met with Ambassador Remus Li-Kuo Chen to receive humanitarian support and COVID-19 relief equipment from our long-standing ally,the Republic of China (Taiwan).

On behalf of Belize City, Mayor Bernard Wagner received 10,000 face masks, 20 thermometers and $25,600.00 which has been earmarked for the Belize City Council Accelerator Program. We express our sincerest gratitude to Ambassador Chen and Taiwan for the continuous support they have shown to the people of Belize during the face of COVID-19 and for all the years of camaraderie prior.
